It's not good for business when the services you provide as a company are intermittent and/or fraught with terminal failure(s). It's especially not good when it looks like nothing is being done towards improving the problem, or becoming worse as a consequence.

China has a national holiday at the moment and I don't know how much that is affecting the management, maintenance, and support of the game servers. It could be that there's no staff available to fix whatever is causing the problem and game servers to kick all users and go into "30 minute maintenance" mode. It would certainly be unwise not to have some backup staff to cover for such periods.
